RIKILT aims to contribute to the safety and health of food and animal feed in the Netherlands and Europe through high-quality independent research and consulting services.
RIKILT’s strategic ambition
RIKILT strives to be a top institute in its field. We feel that the base for quality and success is a continuous development of human capital. Our goals are:
· A clear, internationally recognisable position, achieved through multidisciplinary, high-quality research and a proactive and strategic external policy.
· Recognition as a leading institute (defined as belonging to the top five national reference laboratories in Europe) in the field of food safety; that is, detection of food contamination and analysis of the possible effects of that contamination.
· Greater focus on the core areas that are present in RIKILT’s entire structure, method development, measuring, risk assessment and risk consultancy.
· Improved nesting of RIKILT’s tasks within the organisation of the Wageningen University and Research Centre.
· Increased synergies between RIKILT’s various activities.
