You work in a state of the art laboratory in the field of food analysis. Your laboratory is equipped with the finest instruments and your staff is well-educated. Your methods, often involving multiple compounds, are validated in different matrices and show good method characteristics. In short, your laboratory performs high quality analyses.
How do you demonstrate your high quality performance to the accreditation board and to your
customers? RIKILT – Institute of Food Safety, can help you to demonstrate your quality with proficiency tests.
Proficiency tests are conducted to provide laboratories with a powerful tool to evaluate and demonstrate the reliability of
the data that are produced. Next to validation and accreditation, proficiency testing is an important requirement of the EU
Additional Measures Directive 93/99/EEC and ISO 17043.
We are accredidated for performing proficiency tests regarding residue analysis of animal drugs in animal products, body fluids etc. Furthermore we perform proficiency tests for antibiotics screening (microbiological or instrumental) in combination with confirmation and quantification.
